    what a night...

The night before yesterday my little nephew ended in hospital. He had high fewer last couple of days so my sister took him to emergency, few hours after that I had to took my father to hospital cause he had small heart attack. So my mother and I were waiting at emergency room in one hospital and we couldn't say anyting about my nephew to my father cause of his condition, and also anything to my sister cause we didn't wated to upset her. And in addition to all that my mother has a flu so she's not feeling well. My God, it sounds like some theme from a bad soap-opera.
Yesterday I spend the whole day in hospital and I'm surrounded only with bad things so please tell me something nice that happend to you these few days or something you enjoy in your life. I don't want to listen bad news any more.

I like planing my future with my boyfriend. I'm a big dreamer so I enjoy thingking what kind of wedding will we have (we are planing to get married after I finish my University, perhaps next year), how we'll make little kinder-garden for our kids, and stuff like that. I always feel lucky when we go to bed and than we talk for 10-20 minute about all that and than he hugs me and I can sleep like a baby

    Did your Dad and nephew get the care they needed? Are they doing okay now? If so, then there's a start for your good news collection! If not, then their good news is how much the family cares for them and is being supportive. Hugs: {{{{((((iFKA))))}}}}

I had some good news recently. I got a research grant that expands my big project and provides a 4-year job for one of my grad students. Also, Spring is definitely here! It's warming up, Spring flowers are blooming, bees are out grazing pollen, one homeowner after another is sweeping sand and gravel off the street ... Of course, bad things still happen, but the general level of optimism is rising.
Half-marathon over. Sabbatical year over. It's back to "sacking shirt and oat cakes" as they say here.

aw, that sounds like a really bad night

To help you think of something nice: yesterday I picked up my bike from the bike store, after being away and not riding for a week. A week ago she was filthy, with studded tires, fenders, rusty wires, a bad rear derailleur and very bad rear wheel. Now she is a shining bright red beauty with skinny summer tires, no fenders, new wires, a new rear derailleur and a new rear wheel.

And I had the sweetest ride home in dazzling spring sunshine, in short sleeves and with my tights rolled up to the knee. Rode with a big stupid smile on my face all the way home.

This will be you, any day now!

    Thanx girls... it helps

My dad is ok, but my nephew (Adrian) is on infusion. Adrian is getting better but I don't know when he's hetting home. It a problem cause he has a cyst on a brain so they have to take special care for him. But I hope we'll be playing together next week

Yeah, iFKA, sometimes everything happens at once and you have to deal with alot of different things and as well as all the people too. And each thing and each person needs its own approach
Hope all the health things sort out soon.

What an awful night! That will go down in the history of your family as one of the worst!

Here's a story of personal healing:
This winter I found out I had osteoporosis so I joined a gym. I have been lifting weights, walking, going up and down stairs and riding my bike. On March 18 I ran up 69 flights of stairs in a race. And then this morning, I was getting out of bed and I felt the back of my arm... I found a muscle!! My triceps have form for the first time in my adult life.

I don't know if that kind of good news will cheer you, but I do hope your dad and your nephew get to feeling better soon.

    Here's Some Good News...

You have a family who clearly cares for one another and are considerate as well. This is a wonderful thing!

I hope everyone recovers very soon.

I hope everyone gets better. It seems like these things come in waves. About a year ago I faced a similar run of very bad luck. Well, all things come to pass and now I'm on a good streak.

I hope your bad luck stops soon and you get a fantastic rebound into super good luck for a while.

That's a lot to deal with and lucky you've such a caring and considerate family.

My happy thought for the day is: This is day #13 of feeling pretty good! The new drug seems to be working! I feel like I am back, and, boy, did I ever miss me!

Everyone will be well in your family soon. Keep smiling and, mostly importantly, find the things that bring you *joy*. Seriously, go out and *find* joy to keep your spirits up! (and if you want to receive a picture a day from me, just PM me with your email address... about 145 others are already on the list....some of them are TE-ers, too!)

    Hugs and butterflies,

    I hope everyone recovers fully!

The Cherry Blossoms are blooming here in Japan and they are gorgeous! I don't have any pictures yet since I haven't been able to go take some, but sending happy thoughts your way!

My mom told me the same thing and we laughed how our family occupied hospitals in Zagreb and that health insurance will take us of the list cause we're too much of expense for them (some black humor )

mimitabby, I'm glad you found that muscle (it really made me laugh when I read that, I could imagine the moment of your revelation and the happiness on your face)

I have a pen-friend in Japan and she sent me last year a postcard of Cherry Blossoms in full blooming. Beautiful scenery! It can really fill you up with energy.

p.s.my dad is recovered, he just needs to slow his daily rhythm a bit

iFKA! My wonderful February SS....I have been out of town and just got back to the TE boards this morning. I'm so sorry to hear all you have been going through!!!! Please know I am sending lots of {{{{hugs}}}} to you - do you feel them??

Here is something to make you feel better: For my snack today I brought a sour cherry cereal & yogurt bar called "Frutabela" that a wonderful lady sent me. I can't wait to eat it!

Healing hugs to all of you... what an unbelievable night!!!

I had a really good ride Tuesday night with 2 friends, who've had rough winters... and it was just a fun and frisky ride. We were like cats shedding our winter fur
