Here's the scoop right from the right organizers!
Regarding the change from Camp Parks to the fairgrounds -
it's a LONG story. Bottom line the new JAG officier on base
does not feel a bicycle event is appropriate on a military
installation. Furthermore, we could not have ANYTHING
sold --- T-shirts; photos; vendor items; etc. etc. etc. because
we would not have a government permit and could not obtain
one. Starting last November I attempted to work everything
out but kept running into one stone wall after another. And
the story goes on and on.
I went to the fairgrounds two weeks ago and they were
wonderful! Within four days everything was arranged and
settled. Most likely this will be our permanent location, they
are great to work with.
Frankly, I think everyone will like the new set up, but your
input would be appreciated.
