    Endurox - blood sugar dropping?

    Hey,

I just got some Endurox because my training picked up big time. As a disclaimer, it could just be coincidence.

This past Sat I rode pretty hard for 1.5 hrs and drank my new Endurox on the drive home. I felt myself falling tired by the time I got home (~35 min), scarfed down food, and ended up falling right to sleep. So I eventually got up 3 hours later because my girlfriend and I had to go pick up her car from the shop otherwise I could have kept sleeping more!

The following day I rode outside for 2+ hrs in the freezing cold, had my bottle of Endurox post-ride, ate a nice sized snack, and fell alseep again! This time was cut short to 1.5 hrs because I had to take a phone call.

The wierd thing is that its very unusual for me to take a nap during the day. Once I'm up, I'm up for the day. But both days I felt almost like I was drugged in a way because I couldn't stay awake. I've had Endurox before (almost a year ago) but didn't have this kind of reaction.

I was wondering if anybody else experienced this before. I've been on a cycling team for a year now, I haven't changed my diet or energy drink or all that stuff. Only thing was stepping up the intensity and volume of training as well as adding Endurox to the schedule. Coincidence??

    E-

Are you still having this reaction? I suspect it is a coincidence. Maybe it had more to do with working out so hard in the cold temps and/or your adjustment to adding more volume/intensity to your workout schedule.

What did you use for post-workout recover prior to using Endurox?

I've haven't tried endurox for this very reason. I've had more than one friend have similar experiances. I'm not so sure it's a coincidence.

Wow. That's very interesting. My training partner uses the stuff without any side effects like what is being described. I'm going to have to take a peek to find out what is in Endurox that isn't in other recovery mixes.

I'm sticking to lowfat chocolate milk for a recovery drink. The only side effect is a chocolate milk mustache.
