    Wink I told you so

I had to take my truck in for servicing today. My front differential was leaking slightly. While the truck was being fixed DH and I went out for a ride.

We came back and the truck was almost finished but it was still on the lift. DH walked over to the mechanic to discuss how things went. I was called to the scene a few minutes later. The mechanic proceeded to show me the seal he had to replace. DH asked him to please explain to me how these seals get damaged. He said "Usually from hitting potholes or driving over curbs". Well, turns out that I tend to do both. DH is always chiding me about it. I usually respond with "Well that's why I drive a truck and not a delicate little car, so I don't have to worry about these things."

So today he got his pay back. He didn't say "I told you so" but I could see it in his eyes.

What he didn't anticipate was what the mechanic said next. "I replaced this seal with a much sturdier silicone version that should be able to take a beating." So I smiled and said, "So what you're saying is I can drive over all the curbs I want." DH just stood there shaking his head and muttering something under his breath that sounded suspiciously like "stubborn redheads".

I have Bilstein shocks on my car and lovem. It would drive most folks crazy to have stiff shocks(feel every bump), but I'm so used to them,if they were any softer, I might hurt something Jennifer

    Men really hate potholes

Doesn't DH deserve some credit for not saying what he might have been thinking?

Ha ha ha. Glad you got your truck back.

Don't you hate it when they do that? My husband does that to me sometimes and it kinda makes me mad.
Blessed are the flexible, for they shall not be bent out of shape.
