    SB's further adventures

Headed out on a ride this afternoon, but as usual things did not go as planned.

I had my first flat, on the rear of course. Learned a couple of things in changing it.

    1. Before you start disassembling things, check and see of there is a big nail sticking out of the tire. If there is, this will give a big hint as to where the leak is.

    2. When you have a big nail sticking out of your tire, check and see if it pierced both sides of the tube. One patch will not necessarily do the job.

Gotta change out that tube. Just not right now.

Nothing is ever simple for me.

lol...I have a wonderful picture in my mind. I am envious, though, that you are riding outside. Our weather and bad valley air has me in the doldurms....

If it makes you feel any better, yesterday our highs were in the 50s, today they are in the 20s. I'll be staying indoors today.

Yesterday would have been nice for riding just about anywhere except for my trail!

Thick, clammy fog all the way along it. It's a little river in a valley, and a wetland. I gave up after just a short (as in less than a quarter of a mile) ride because I was afraid I would hit someone I couldn't see .

It's a balmy 8 degrees here right now, heading towards a high of 15. I think I'll pass on a ride today.
