    My PI Trip (with pictures)

this year for vacation, once again, we went to the philippines. there have been requests for pictures so i actually have a few and i'll share.

we started out our vacation in subic bay. beautiful and relaxing. good vacation spot. we stayed at the bay front hotel where its always good service and great rooms. we got up in the morning and ran on the beach, went for a swim. the rest of the day consisted of doing a hike now and again and eating great food. here is one of the waterfalls we hiked down to. i don't remember the name of it though.

then after spending time there we flew to boracay island. its beautiful there. even though a typhoon hit two days before we arrived, it was beginning to be cleaned up and you could still tell it was beautiful. we stayed at the pinjalo hotel. here is a picture out of our hotel room.

the hotel was on a generator for a few days, but then we got electricity back. its ok though. we spent most of our time on this beach:

which is the beach that i learned how to windsurf on. here's proof. i did learn, and its not as easy as it looks! i promise that. thankfully i had a really patient instructor.

after a hard day of windsurfing we would go back to the other side of the island and have dinner and relax. the other side is the famous white beach. its also where all the tourists hang out, but at sun set time, it is beautiful!

after all the relaxing and warm weather, we did have to come back home to alaska and a blizzard. i haven't seen about 20*F in a long time. i did enjoy that warm weather while i could.

though warm weather.... i'm starting to forgit. what is that like again?

Fabulous pictures and great summary of your vacation. Makes me want to go there. Now. Today. Instead of being back to work after 12 days off in a row. How long until the weekend?? Warm weather - what's that?

    Hugs and butterflies,

That looks like a great trip and kudos on the windsurfing. I started windsurfing about 14 years ago and I still remember how unbelieveably hard it was in the beginning. Now I'm hooked and I moved to the Columbia River Gorge this last year so when the wind blows I play on the water and when it doesn't, I ride.

    Thanks for the photos.
