    Unhappy off the trail...onto trainer

    well...it finally happened!!! broken wrist

    i knew that after so many miles i was bound to break something...steep, technical downhill got the best of me. i have tamed this hill before...but the trail gnomes were angry that day...forgot to "OM" the trail gnomes apparently!!!

    I am fine, and even lucky to have such a wonderful husband,,,,he immediately went and bought a trainer (we don't really need one since we are fortunate to enjoy year-round riding)....but he got one anyway just so i can pedal!!!

    anyway...i do not want any sympathy (fast healing wishes ok ) i just want to say...kudos to ALL who have experienced ANY injuries!!! this is my first depilitating one and i just can't imagine it being moreso!!! dh has to put my deoderant on me

    so...here i am wishing those injured FAST heals, good care, and PATIENCE!!!

    Oh Bouncy - I feel for you! How frustrating - but what a wonderful DH! My SO has a broken hand right now & has been running & spinning - though he has a tough time keeping his hands off the hoods (road bikes). Surgery is scheduled for Monday. I'll send quick healing thoughts to both of you!!

    Having broken a wrist by falling off the jungle gym at the local playground (when I was 38 yrs old ), I can just imagine the fun you're having trying to figure out how to do the simplest things. As I recall, putting on a bra was my biggest challenge. Kudos to your DH for being so solicitous, and to you for being so tough in dealing with it!

    sorry to hear about your broken wrist. although it can be boring riding a trainer, it beats not riding at all. Put yourself together a good disc of music to help stave the boredom away. Hope you heal quickly.
