Hi everyone! I have been lurking for a while but wanted to register and introduce myself. I bought my first road bike, a Trek Pilot 2.1 Wsd, in September. I probably have between 200-300 miles on it or so right now. Because of where I live, I haven't gotten to ride alot but the weather has been so mild lately that I have been going out more. The max I have ridden is about 30 miles in under 2 hours. Tomorrow my dh and I will be going out for a ride. I have lots of questions I'll be asking so I hope i am not too annoying! Thanks for all of the great info. you share here!

Hey jamom,
I'm in South Jersey, too! Where have you been riding...there's a great group that has Tempo Rides out of Philly on the weekends, if you are in that area...I'll send you a PM.

Thanks for the warm welcome all! I live in Cherry Hill and usually ride out toward Medford, Shamong, etc. I am always interested in new routes!
Hey Jamom,

Suzieq, it is funny you ask that as I just walked in the door from my LBS after swapping the Bontrager stock seat that comes with it for a different bontrager seat that is shorter and more wsd. I am not sure how it will feel but anything has to be better than the seat that comes with the Pilot! Since I rode 26 miles this a.m., this was probably not the best time to try a new seat! Also, since I am a beginner, I think I also have to "toughen up" some down there. I have been reading all about the saddles in the forums here as well so if this one doesn't do the trick, I'll try a different one!
