A portion of the TE-DC contingent hit the Poolesville area in Montgomery County, MD today for a chilly, hilly ride of almost 26 miles.

I hit two personal milestones during the ride: A new high speed of 31mph and 1000 miles on my odometer

Hi there!
Wonderful (hilly) ride today with Kalidurga and the rest! Thanks for a great chance to get back out on my bike.
Today marked my first ride in 3 weeks!!
My shoulder is a bit stiff right now for the effort, and my elbow is talking, so I'll keep time on the p.c. to a minimum.
But....Ahhhhhhhh!!!! It's so nice to be back!

Went out for a group ride today, there were four in our group, we did about 27 country miles, mostly flat only a few hills. It was kind of chilly, thermometer said it was about 46 but with no sun if felt cooler than that. We had a nice leisurely ride, but one woman kept saying she felt bad for slowing us down, I tried to reassure her cause I was really just glad to be out riding in November!! I only want to ride! As of today 3311 miles for this year!! Woo Hoo. I would never have guessed last year when I started riding that I could do that many miles in one year!! So cool!

Just my favorite little mini 13 mile run today. Several nice little hills. It was 45 degrees and I stayed warm enough but just. Didn't put any "extras" on today, like balaclava, heavy boots, or glove liners. Felt kind of nice and refreshing, but my toes and fingers were getting cold by the end.

I like your description of "chilly, hilly". The temp was higher than some of our other rides but I guess the clouds and wind were what made it feel so cold. I thought the hills felt a little harder today than when I did them with divingbiker. It was fun,

The PA TE gals (Offthegrid, Allezgirl and I) went for a ride today in Phoenixville area. It was a paved trail and we did about 17.5 miles I think. Very nice terrain to cruise on. Got a bit nippy there at the end. Took a while to feel my toes. Got changed into civvies, grabbed little AG and had dinner at a nice little restaurant in town near AG's place. Very tasty. Thanks girls for the wonderful day. It's always nice to get together with some TE women for a ride.

First time I'd been out to ride in a couple of weeks. Temps were in the high 40's with little wind so I enjoyed my 16 mile ride. After I got off my bike there was my bandana lying on my tob tube, that had been around my neck for a nose blotter. I thanked my creator it didn't get caught in my bike coming down the long steep hill at the end of my ride. Lesson: be sure everything is tied down better.

DH and I took the cue sheets from our local "burn the turkey" ride planned for next Friday and did the 51 mile route a few days early (on our own). It was good terrain, but the route spent too much time on busier roads than we would normally plan. My legs were lead from all the yardwork on Saturday, but I'm glad we got out and did it anyway. It was about 50 degrees and sunny for most of the ride, so I enjoyed myself!

November 19th ride

As I was headed out yesterday afternoon, I heard a “plinking” noise on the leaves by the side of the road, and also off my jacket. After a minute, I realized it was SLEET! It was in the mid to upper 30s, but I chose to keep going, and went out for a quick 10 miles, with intermittent sleet and drizzle. I was dressed appropriately for it, and it was a brisk, but exhilarating ride. I had rosy cheeks the rest of the evening (that’s facial cheeks, although I didn’t really check out the other cheeks!)
