I just have to brag about my wonderful Aunt Helene. She is a rather accomplished artist in the wine country (sonoma not napa), and I just love her art. I was just looking at her website and marveling at the beauty.
    Please check it out.

Also worthy of note is that she is in her 80's and has parkinson's disease, so she paints with her left hand! AMAZING!

I wish I had an ounce of her talent!!
    Have a great weekend!

Her art is lovely.. But it's NOTHING like grandma Moses' stuff!!
    It's more like Renoir.

I like her use of primary colors. Very bold and rich.
    thanks for sharing.

You know I am blessed to have alot of her work gracing my walls. And I've really noticed how her style has changed over the years, and esp. since the parkisons has taken hold.
Thanks so much for all your kind words. I will be sure to pass them on to her. She is super special in my life, and I just thought you might like to see her work.

I know it's not the same style of Grandma Moses, I just meant coming to be an artist later in life. I agree her work is more like one of the Masters!

Thanks for the link Running Mommy. She does do beautiful work.

I lived throughout Sonoma Valley for several years in my youth and seeing her art brought back some nice memories. Must be time to revisit the Valley.

Mimi, they remind me of Renoir also! Love, love, love them, especially Wine Country Lane.

    wow very beautiful!

i always wanted to be able to paint or draw, somehow it never looks as pretty on paper as it does in my mind.
