Awhile ago I read "The 100 Most Influential Women of All Time" and reading the stories about Marie Curie, Margaret Sanger, Harriett Tubman, et al made me really appreciate the strength and courage it took to stand up in their time. I don't completely agree with the order (as much as I respect Simone de Beauvoir, I wouldn't rank her above Queen Elizabeth I or Rosa Parks) but when I think of all the possibilities and choices women have now it makes me very hopeful for the future. That book was written in the 1990s and I'm sure that list can be rewritten in just the decade that has passed.
I'll be sure to pick up a copy of the mag this week.
