A little history.......I've been having lots of saddle problems, etc. Had a fitting, raised the seat a lot, moved it forward, etc. Last weekend went on a 34 miler (long for me) and was fine for a while and then got rubbed almost raw in the last 15miles or so.
Today, went out again with my husband and wore my triathlon shorts instead of regular bike shorts and that seemed to do the trick. I was a little sore after the ride (43.5miles) but nothing like I've been fighting for a couple of years. I had more problems today with quad cramps than with my saddle. I found a comfortable place in the saddle and just rode. Felt pretty good.
I still wish the padding on shorts was wider in the crotch area with no seams, but I guess I'll have to settle for now. Also, wearing a newer pair of shorts seemed to help as they didn't move around a lot.
Thanks to all for the advice!
