Reply With QuoteI grew up in Harbor Springs which is about 25 miles south of Mackinaw City. There are excellent roads to ride all over Emmet County. Try taking Shore Drive from Cross Village to Harbor Springs, it is about 50 miles round trip. If you just get a good county map and hit the roads west of M-31 you will find great riding. Lots of rolling hills and beautiful countryside.

I'm bringing my bike to mackinac island for a month.
Its a dry run for taking it to Vietnam on my big voyage as a 40 year old to ride from North to South.
I'm training to ride 50 miles a day for 8 days in a row and leaving for Vietnam on Nov 3 but I'm working on Mackinac Island to pay for the trip. To train in Michigan, I thought I'd maybe do 30-40 mile rides 2x a week on the mainland taking the ferry over in the AM to Mackinaw City.
Any suggestions?
