    I got my Road ID's!!

I just got both my Road ID's. Pretty good, since they just shipped two days ago!

Both of mine (ankle and wrist) are red.

The ankle is VERY comfortable. The neoprene of the strap doesn't cut in at all, the edges are very soft, it stays right where I put it, and I hardly notice it. Even though I have tiny little ankles, the one-size strap fits great. I will need to trim off maybe 1/2 inch of overlap on the velcro. I can tell already that I will wear the ankle all the time, and the wrist will be more for back-up.

The wrist is also comfortable, though it is a stiffer web (not neoprene). If you've ever worn a Timex "FastStrap" you will instantly recognize the fastening for the wrist. Again, I have tiny wrists, but the small wrist ID fits me perfectly. No overlap. I'm asuming it will become more comfortable as I break it in, just like my watch straps.

The red color of both is a visible red. No-one seeing this red is going to assume it is a watch band or piece of jewelry.

The engraving on the info plate is subtle enough that no-one glancing at your wrist in a bar (eh-hem, not that WE ever go to bars) is gonna read your name and get your phone number.

I'm very impressed, and plan to get one for SKnot.

Sure....NOW they make the ankle strap from neoprene. Mine is made from some scratchy material that rubs my ankle raw (it's a year old). I wear it on my wrist now. Drats! Oh well- I'm not going to spend another $20, but good to know if I want to get another in the future.
Glad you like yours! I feel so much safer when I have that on!!!

    Thanks KnottedYet,
I just pm'd mtbdarby, and will place the order today. I didn't even think to order a replacement strap instead of a whole new one (duh!)
    Thanks for the suggestion!!!!!

oh, and I always wear my watch (to bed, in the shower, workout, etc). It, like my wedding rings, never leave my body. You're not weird for wearing it to bed (or the id as an experiment).
