    Brave Soldier Friction Zone

    To disable ads, please log-in.

I just got a tube of Brave Soldier Friction Zone today. I'm not sure why I thought I needed it, because I don't usually use chamois cream, but I was ordering some other BS stuff (I _swear by_ BS Healing Ointment!!!) and it was new so...

So far I can report that it smells good enough to eat!! (Looking at the ingredients, I can see why!) So anyway, I guess I'll try glopping some on there, next long ride, and see what happens.

Here's what they say about it on the website:

    New!
Endurance sports formula. Superior anti-chafing. Cold water and sweat resistant. Occlusive silicone/botanical barrier protects and conditions skin for hours. Helps prevent blisters and reduce rash irritations. No petrolatum so safe for wet suits. Long lasting protection from any sports activity where gear chafing of your skin is a problem. Antibacterial formula helps prevent minor skin irritations.
Cyclists: a superior, extremely durable chamois product for hours of riding comfort. Even in wet weather.
Triathletes: safe and effective for wet suits and running shoes.
Runners: chafing due to clothes rubbing. Blisters.
Winter Sports: excellent barrier to reduce wind chafing.
Football: helps shield skin from protective gear straps.

    Key Ingredients:
Soybean Oil, C16-38 Acid Triglycerides, Hydrogenated Polyisobutene, Siliconized Beeswax, Dimethicone, Cetearyl Methicone, Phenyl Trimethicone, Candelilla Wax, Shea Butter, Macadamia Nut Butter, Cetearyl Alcohol, Cocoa Butter, Organic Jojoba Oil, Organic Tea Tree Oil, Neem Leaf Extract, Aloe Vera Extract, Hemp Seep Oil, Menthol, Triclosan,
    Propylparaben.

    Vital Statistics:
Retail price: $16.00 3.4 oz. Tube

    Sounds yummy.
Let us know how it goes on the long ride.
The most effective way to do it, is to do it.

    Thumbs up Brave Soldier stuff

    Nanci:

Thanks for the information on the Brave Soldier friction zone.

I checked out the chamois butt'r on the TE website and saw that the last ingredient is lanolin -- which I'm very allergic to.

So........I'm going to place an order for the friction zone & also the solar shield.
    Looks like good stuff!!

    Thanks again!

Yes, TE should see if they can carry some Brave Soldier items like the Antiseptic Healing Ointment and the Friction Zone and the Crash Pack!!

I've used healing ointment on tons of stuff on myself, plus on my rescued bird, whose entire body was covered with scabs, and on Dillbird when he had laser surgery. I love it.

So, you are saying that the scar stuff works. I really need something to get rid of my road rash that I still have since March!
    Does it really work?

I don't know if it reduces scars, but it helps injuries heal really fast.

    questions -possible tmi...

Ok, I have two questions, maybe Nanci (or anyone) could help me out? I got some Brave Soldier Friction Zone on sale at Performance last week. Looking at the package it says not to apply it directly to the chamois. Why not? Has anyone tried this?
Also, would it be appropriate/safe to apply this in all the same areas as regualr chamois cream (aka on the inner sides of the girly bits?)
