    Karen,

I just e-mailed the powers that be to see if I can transfer my entry (just in case you wanted to go) as there's no point in wasting it!

WAAAAAAAAAY to far for us! yahoo maps says: 5 hours 25 mins!

i can pretty much always deduct 30 minutes... but still.... 5 hours drive to a ride... NOPE! not happening!

Actually, i am going, but I'm carpooling up some folks, and will be doing the full century. My club president is convinced that with "a little training", I can get platinum at Tour De Tucson... HA! I'm going to be shoot for a sub 7 hour time. Would have responded earlier,, but had a very crazy week at work, and need to spend some time away from the 'puter. If you ride past someone (or vice versa) who is mumbling about making sure your initialize your variables before doing a SQL insert under her breath, well, that's me

    Hi...
I may not be able to make this ride after all, I am playing this week by ear.
My father in law suffered a stroke yesterday morning, and is ICU at Los Robles Hospital.
Depending on how the week pans out and how he is doing will determine If I am going or not

Oh my goodness, Karen... my thoughts and prayers go out to your father in law and your family. I hope he recovers well and quickly.

    Karen,

I'm sorry for your FIL - hope he recovers quickly!!
    ~~Tiffanie~~

Your biggest challenge isn't someone else.
It's the ache in your lungs and the burning in your legs and the voice inside that yells "CAN'T".
But you don't listen. You just push harder.
And then you hear the voice whisper "CAN".
And you discover that the person you thought you were is no match for the one you really are.

I have two spots if anyone wants them.
