    July 10th Rides

Hour commute. Nice sunrise this morning, made me wish I had my camera. Six ducks stopped traffic in both lanes waddling to the irrigation canal. Dude on a mtn bike blew past my right side as I was clipping in from a stop light. Jerk!

I got up early and met a small group for a club ride this morning. I opted for the shorter 35 mile route while others tackled the 50 miler. I quickly discovered my legs need a rest, I've logged 250 miles in six days so they have good reason to be fatigued. It is probably a good thing there was one other rider on this route or I may turned around after the first 5 miles and headed back to my car. In the end I ended up averaging 15.4 mph so I can't complain.

Nice ride up PCH to Long Beach, around the marina and then back along PCH past the pier and down our hill to Tiff's house. I kept waiting to past by the Velo Allegro paceline doing their recovery ride, but they must have left when we were circling the marina because they were already on their way back to Long Beach when we hit Huntington Beach...they're speedy fast!

Rode twice. First 33 miles in the early morning at a good clip and then a slower pace with a friend for another 15 miles. Good rides overall.

I rode 18 miles. 3-4 miles of it was with a 30-35mph headwind. I little rain cloud was close by. It didn't rain on me. I just got the wind!
