    Hi

I just wanted to say Hi and introduce myself. I have been lurking for a few weeks and have learned so much. I figured I should register and say hello. My husband I bought new road bikes about a month ago. We are having a blast and riding as much as we can. Darn rain has slowed us down this week. Hopefully we can put some miles on later in the weekend.

Welcome to the forum, i'm new here myself.
Sounds like you need to buy yourselves some cool matching raingear.
We live in Seattle, and if we always let rain stop us, we miss a lot of rides.
have fun! what bikes did you buy?

So true--rain gear is on our wish list. It has been driving me crazy to not ride all week. Thanks for the welcome!

Oops..hit the button to fast. I got a Specialized Dolce Elite, which I love! And my husband got a Specialized Allez Expert. We have been riding out in the country and so far our longest ride has been 40 miles. We are planning our 1st Century in Sept. We are going to do the Ride the Rogue ride.

Welcome! Glad you decided to come out of lurk-dom.

We could start a black and red doggie avatar club here at TE! What's your pup's name?

Looking forward to hearing riding in the rain stories. I'm leery of doing it here in the city because of cars, but I think it could be really nice out on a trail. I ran in the rain today--warm and fresh.

Lise- Thank you. No stories of riding in the rain this weekend. My dog's name is Titan, she is such a good dog. We also have a black lab named Diesel. They are our kiddos!

    Hey Becky!

Welcome! I'm new here too...and we have lots in common. I also have a dog who looks similar to yours (or she did in her younger years before going grey!), my husband and I are fairly new to biking (last summer), we also have our first century coming up (in August) and I am awaiting my Specialized Dolce Comp that should be arriving any day now! How's that for commonality?

Glad to see you here! Enjoy the wealth of knowledge on this site...I'm learning TONS!

Catherine- Wow, we do have a lot in common. Congrats on the new bike. I love mine! Are you nervous/excited for your 1st century? I am a bit nervous, but so excited. Thanks for the welcome!

p.s. your dog must be gorgeous!
