What a great present! You're much better than me, I'd have it opened before I got home...packing material strewn all over the place...modeling it in front of the mirror.![]()

and I know what is inside that box! It is my very first jersey!
Woo-hoo and Yippee, i'm doin' the happy dance- lol
I was chatting with a few friends thru another bike forum last night in chat, and may have mentioned to someone that I was hoping to get a bicycle jersey for my birthday....and lo and behold there is a package in the mail for me!
My dear hubby knew exactly what I wanted. Isn't he wonderful and thoughtful?![]()
Now- I must wait patiently for him to return home tonight from his meetings in Springfield so I can open it...oh, I am so excited, and I am wondering which one he decided on?
Well- I just had to share it with you gals here.
I am finally getting an official bicycle jersey.

I'm trying to think if I can remember my first jersey. I _think_, no, I know it's a Shebeest club cut orange swirly flowers. After that I got a Shebeest olive tiger print. After that I got some off-brand grass green thing for cheap that never did become a favorite. After that, my ex-BF that dumped me and returned to France sent me a "King of the Mountains" jersey from TDF, white with red polka dots. Then my first sleeveless, a kind of 70's print, purple, blue, green, pink, that I still love, and my first LS, a Sheebeest white leopard, that I love. Then it was all downhill from there when I lost weight and needed cute tank tops and some sleeveless ones on clearance and a cute rooster jersey from eBay and on and on and on...I think this summer I am going to re-evaluate what I wear and what is perfectly good but sits at the bottom of the drawer, and send it off to new homes where it can be appreciated.
So- see, your DH has started a snowball rolling, and hopefully soon you will have many to choose from, too!
Happy Birthday!!

can you believe it; I got two instead of one! Wow, am I on cloud nine!
I know, my son thinks I've gone absolutely crazy...you'd think I'd won the lottery! Oh well.
Oh Queen: believe me, I was tempted! You should've seen me waiting with anticipation, like a little child at Christmas time!
I got the Bellwether Tempo jersey from Team Estrogen of course. It is black with the flashy red and white stripes across the chest.
The second one is the sleeveless Bellwether Vision in Lilac, but I'm afraid I am gonna have to return it and exchange it for the Shebeest Retro 2006 jersey in Ocean Blue.
Anyway- I am so pleased with the selection that T.E. has to offer. I find myself browsing , and browsing.
Well at least the sun is shining here and will hopefully melt all this snow away, I wanna go riding in my flashy new jersey...think it really will make me as fast as a flash? (laughing...just kidding)
Have a great weekend!

Happy Birthday and Congratulations on your first jerseys. I have to agree that TE does have a super selection of cycling clothes for women.
For my birthday last year, that is where my husband did most of the shopping for me. I was shocked. All my gifts were bike related even stuff like the bike chain frame, and cog tealight holders (I make candles so this was so great) and he had TE wrap everything, ok, he took the easy way out, but I love taking the fancy ribben off each and every box.
Wish I can do that again without turning another year older.
Enjoy your jerseys and hopefully they bring you sunny skies. Usually your weather makes it my way a few days later.

Congrats hun - there ain't nothing like getting new jerseys! Makes ya wanna get out and ride just to show it off to the world.
Happy Birthday!
Life should NOT be a journey to the grave with the intention of arriving safely in an attractive and well preserved body, but rather to skid in sideways, champagne in one hand, strawberries in the other, body thoroughly used up, totally worn out and screaming: "Yeah Baby! What a Ride!"
