Talk about WOW! Thank you all so very much for all the good wishes and kind thoughts. My special thanks to Ann for posting all of the updates. And, Cindy the flowers were beautiful, and your trips to the hospital were much appreciated.
I have read the E-Mails and must say that I have never been involved with a group of people who have acted so kindly towards a person they have ever met. I truly feel blessed. Thank you.
AND WEAR YOUR HELMETS! Rick just showed me what is left of my old helmet, and I am very glad it was on my head when I went down. It (the helmet) really is trashed, but my head is in one piece.
I still use the crutches. Our dog isn't sure whether to chew on them on get out of the way. There's no place live home! It will all work out. I have some physical therepy group coming to the house next week to see how I'm doing and to point out dangers within our house. Biker on your left? I know it will be a while before I can bike again, but everyday things seem to improve.
I still can't believe I was hosipalized for almost three weeks. And, I was so lucky! I was with people who were on the job and saw to it that the necessary information got to the ambulance staff and that I was taken care of. This and the fact that my husand was immediately notified were all so important. Thank you! Bless you all. If I can ever return the favor, I'm there. I just hope that time never comes.
Have a great Cinderella Ride! Be safe and have fun.

    Most sincerely,

    Helga

I am so glad to hear you're home. Healing, sleeping, everything, is just so much better. You sound in good spirits. I can still remember the smack of my helmet on the pavement in my one and only road crash.

Keep us updated. I'd been looking forward to meeting you when I came down for the Benicia ride, but you'll be there with us in spirit.

    Helga -
Welcome home! I'm sending more wishes for recovery your way, along with hopes for you to both accept and hasten (as much as reasonable, of course) your healing process.

    Helga,

Welcome home wishes to you from the snowy midwest! All the best for healing and rest, and then zipping around, new helmet firmly on head, when the time comes.

Hey Helga! SO glad to see you posting again and to know that you're back home. Our bible study group got together last night and they were all asking me how you were doing. I was so happy to be able to tell them that you went home on Friday. I hope you are more comfortable and peaceful at home. I can't imagine 3 weeks in the hospital!

You're an amazing lady and I look forward to riding with you again sometime. Hang in there!

Hey Helga! Welcome home... it's good to hear you're mending well.

If you would still like to attend the Spazzdog unload event, I have a lovely little chair we can put outside in the morning sun so you can "supervise". Coffee will be provided as you would be "management"
