Lightbulb Okay Ladies, I need help putting together a Halloween costume...

that I can ride in on a 45 mile ride. I know, crazy!

I was going to be the little kid with ET in a basket but I can't find a plush ET. Besides being a "Cutter", "paperboy" or a doping cyclist, what else can I do? I have a zombie dress but I just don't know how that will do on a 45 mile rolling hills ride.

    Any ideas?

Well, I am not that great at coming up with costumes . . . but this year a group of my friends and I are dressing up as a rollerderby team. We're wearing shirts that say "Hell on wheels!", wearing short athletic shorts, these socks, helmets, and knee and elbow pads. Our husbands are going as the referees.

The zombie dress would be fine if you hike it up. You can even tuck it in your bike shorts or something. Sounds like fun!

I think any kind of pixie/fairy with a short skirt, tights kinda costume would work. Peter Pan, Tinkerbelle,Christmas elf...Or Little Red Riding Hood.

For last year's Halloween cyclocross race I was a winged insect...the intent was butterfly, but everyone thought I was a bee.

This year I'm going with the wings theme, again, but instead going as a bat. Gonna wear all black and then these wings:

As a note: pretty much all of those "sexy" cheap costumes at the stores work *perfectly* over bike shorts.
Hopefully you can see the facebook pics. This one worked well too.

    But if you're feeling ambitious:
    Showgirl
Salmon (Perfect if you can do the course backwards)
