Way OT, Pelican Rescue!!!!

Ok, so the only thing this has to do with cycling is I participate in this forum, and I also participate in another forum, Feral Pigeon Rescue Central, a member of which gave a very needy pelican an airplane ride from North Carolina (home of Emily and BouncyBouncy! See, I can tie it in!!) to Miami, home of Katherine with my bike's twin!

Stinky the pelican was found in NC starving and unable to migrate. He was nursed back to health by a rehab facility in NC, and then needed a ride to Miami, to a rehab facility where he could join a flock his own age. They didn't want him to have a long car ride, though, so needed a plane ride, which is where my friend from Feral Pigeons Rescue Central and her new very DH stepped in and offered to fly Stinky to Miami.

God bless people like this! Her DH isn't really into rescues at all- he just did it because he loves her. Isn't that sweet?? I'm so proud of them!
