Drive 2 hrs to buy cat food and come home with a bike

So today our plan was to go to Raleigh to buy some cat food. Cats need food and there is an awesome locally owned pet store in Raleigh that sells Nature's Variety (which is what we feed them and they actually like it). So we drive up there to purchase the cat food (which we did buy). Then head off to the mall in Cary (bought some undies and bras, since I actually needed some of those). Then head to Performance just to check it out and see what they had on the clearance racks. So we ended up buying a Scattante X-330 cyclocross bike. It's a 2010 model and a 48cm frame. Basically the size my husband needs. He's been thinking about getting one for awhile actually. Mostly because he loves the mountain bikes, but hasn't been able to get comfortable on his road bike, which we are trying to sell at this point. The bike was on clearance for $499. So we go to Raleigh to buy cat food and come home with a bike. Go figure. We had no plans at all on buying a bike.

Woo Hoo! Congrats! Nothing like a spontaneous bike purchase to make your day. You not only got an amazing deal, but your DH got a bike that he wanted. Now it's your turn

    Thanks.
The Felt F5 I got a few weeks ago is the bike I really wanted, and it's sitting in the garage. But since this one is pretty much the smallest cyclocross bike we've actually seen anywhere I'm going to try it and see if I can ride it, or if it's really just too big and a type of bike I just have no chance of ever riding.
