Whew! Temps in the low 70's and very low humidity. Ahhhhhh. I celebrated with a rare weekday afternoon ride with a friend. Simply gorgeous day.

Lucky! It's in the upper 80s here. I went for a ride today, and came back having moved most of 48 oz of water (both bottles!) to my jersey (either sweat or dumping water on the sleeves and shoulders). And this in the course of a relatively shady 17-mile ride!
At least I don't leave slime trails.

Enjoy it while it lasts ... supposed to be back into the 90s by the weekend, even hotter as the days go by.

It should be a little cooler tomorrow as well, so I'm hoping to fit in a ride. I mostly ride in the mornings, so the high temps for the weekend aren't a huge issue, except when it comes to grabbing parking at the trail. (I'm pretty sure I could work out a formula for the daytime high based on how early the cars show up in the lot...)

Yes it is supposed to heat up everyday this week right into the weekend with extreme temps again. Short reprieve today and tomorrow early. Indeed mid 70's to mid 80's is our normal temp for this time of year, normally we hit a few 90 + days or hotter in August. It's been early this year, this is about our 3rd or more hot spell.

I'll try not to rub it in but it was really really a beautiful ride today

I didn't think it was so bad today. Did 30 miles, although a good portion of it was under tree canopy, so maybe I got off easy.

I got a ride in around Kensington this morning but I was finished by 10:30. I would have rather started out an hour earlier but I didn't. It got pretty hot by the end. Mid afternoon it was torrid! Supposed to be hotter tomorrow and all week too.
