The Pearl Izumi Convertible Barrier jacket that TE carries is getting tremendous reviews. Neon yellow/green and apparently one does not feel soaking wet in it. Not sure how the Gore Wear breathes...

Looks like Gore Bike Wear has finally gotten the message about hi-viz clothing, and will be offering 2 of their winter jackets in neon yellow (hey, it's a start, right?):

I'm currently chomping at the bit for these to be offered for sale, despite the fact that it's July and 95+ degrees out there. For those of you who own either the Phantom or the Contest, how's the sizing? I'm wary of the seemingly-small bust measurements on Gore's size chart.
Susan, if you're listening, will TE be carrying these products this fall?![]()

Yup, I have it, love it and would buy it again. But it's not insulated, so it's insufficient for me in the colder months.
I'd just wear a couple-three layers of wool rather than buy a new jacket ...

Thanks, Sheila. I sorta recall that you and I are of similar build, so this is very helpful information.
More good info- thanks! Fortunately, GBW products are fairly easy to find around here, so I hope to be able to try on both the Phantom and the Contest, even if I ultimately need to order the high-viz color.
I bought one of the Gore yellow winter jackets last winter from TE after I'd just about frozen on a windy ride. The jacket is great!! Pricy, but worth every dime. The sleeves detatch and the jacket converts to short sleeve. I think you will like it.
