    Best ride ever.

I'm still new to biking, and everything is amazing and exciting. I'm IN LOVE with biking.

I biked down to a community fair today to help with an educational reptile event, that was pretty fun. BUT, the best ride ever was after I got home.

There was a hockey game tonight. Stanley cup finals, game two, Vancouver home game. And we won (I would go on about how amazing that OT goal was, but I'm afraid I'd bore you).

I decided to throw caution to the wind, and for the first time, I wore a skirt. Just for a nice 20 minute ride.

In my skirt. Ringing my bell for all it's worth every time an suv with a giant canuck's flag full of rowdy yahoos drove past, with a huge smile on my face.

I love my bike, I love my city, I love my hockey team, I even love my skirt, and I REALLY love ringing the **** out of my bell. So happy right now.

You are positively glowing! I'm so very happy for you, don't lose that, treat every bike ride like this one and joy will be yours.

I went for a ride in the not-very-bike-friendly southeast suburbs of Vancouver today and I was thinking that a Canuck jersey would be a great way to get more respect from car drivers. I came home and my husband told me about this:

Might get one if (or should I say when?) the Canucks win the cup.
