Very new to Riding, bike recommendations

Hi all new here and I will be buying a bike soon. My husband rides a Kona Kula pretty old but he is starting to ride again and I am feeling left out. I want to join him on rides. I have been looking at the Specialized Myka HT, also found a 2009 Used Myka within budget. I also like the Giant Boulder W. I really only know what I've been finding online about MtBikes. SO any help is appreciated. I tend to get very obsessed when buying anything and research research. I have noticed that many say stay away from dept store type places to buy mtbikes so thats out. My budget is pretty much $500 tops. Thanks all

It would help to know what kind of riding you want to do. Terrain? Length? Previous riding experience?
Sit bones = ~135 mm, saddles that work ~ 155cm/6.1 in wide
2003 da Vinci (custom road/all-rounder)/Terry Butterfly Ti
1994 Gary Fisher Nirvana (vintage MTB/commuter)/Terry Butterfly Chromoly

1973 Raleigh Super Course (project in progress)

I started mtb with hubby a few years ago and am starting back again after a year of mostly running last year. I have a Jamis Durango that cost just about $500 and it is a pretty good starting out bike for the $. We're in PA so it's lots of roots and rocks and I think my Jamis does pretty well with all that. Hubby is trying to upgrade me but I'm sticking tight so far, lol! He's got a niner and just bought a stumpjumper so he's got higher-end stuff than me but I don't mind. I hope that helped!

Thanks I will do mostly trail and some moutnain. I bought a Schwinn frontier expert, My husband liked it b/c for a good price it has disc brakes so he pushd for this one the Myka I looked at also had disc but it was 100 more , so for a beginner I like what we bought. Still Love the Myka, maybe for my next bike haha!
