I just signed up for a 35 mini metric happening on 5/21. Need help getting ready, longest ride so far has been 15 miles. Route is mostly flat. Training advice please.

This is my first road bike. I've had it for a couple of months and ride several times a week. On Saturdays I try to challenge myself by either adding hills or distance. Sundays I rest.

What is your longest ride? How many days a week do you ride and how long are they?
Personally, I'd like to have a 25-miler in beforehand--preferably 30 if I wanted to finish comfortably.
The rule of thumb is add 10% to your longest ride each week. However, my BIL once did a century with me--his longest ride was 40 miles but he rode 15-20 miles almost DAILY. I don't recommend that, though."Well-behaved women seldom make history." --Laurel Thatcher Ulrich

katy, the longest ride is 15 miles..
Ronrides, do a 25 mile ride this coming weekend. make sure you carry enough water and a snack you will be able to do 35 if you can do 25...
