    Anyone ever order from detours?

    I ordered a handlebar bag from them on March 23rd. They charged my credit card the same day, and I got a receipt but that's it. A couple of days later I emailed them and asked them if there was a way to check on my order. I was told that he would get me a tracking number. I didn't hear from them. One week later I emailed again. No answer. Today I called, and I got the answering machine of the same guy who promised me the tracking number. It's like they dropped off of the face of the earth. Oh if only TE had this particular bag! Their customer service is THE BEST!.

    So, anyone know anything? Did they file Chapter 13 or something? Anyone have the same experience?

    Update: I finally got through to a real person, same one that promised the tracking number and guess what? He told me when it was shipped and that he would get me the tracking number. Still waiting.

    I ordered a top tube bag,don't remember what it's called. My card was charged and no e-mail saying that it had shipped. I called and sent e-mails and was told that item was out of stock. I agreed to accept a slightly different item and that was that. I don't think credit cards are supposed to be debited until and item ships, at least that's how it has always worked for me before, and I do a lot of online ordering. I think they are going through some kind of process there and the right hand doesn't know what the left hand is doing. Too bad, they have some excellent products.

    Detours

    I have not ordered from Detours lately but I have done so in the past and have had excellent service. When I've called, the phone has been answered and the experience has been nothing but positive. I sure hope this is just an aberration. Some of their bags are excellent.

    I also ordered from them once, it was an urgent order (I needed a specific bag in time for a holiday) and they shipped it right away. I also gave them a call to check whether the bag was really responding to the specs I was looking for and received impeccable service.

    I am sorry you are not having a very good experience, I hope things get resolved easily.
