I believe the Allez has a more "competitive" gemetry so I would want to ride it long enough to know for sure it is comfortable! Have fun shopping

I'm thinking about getting a new bike this spring. The ones on my list are:
Specialized Allez Sport Compact, Specialized Sectuer, Specialized Allez Elite Compact, Trek 1.2/Lexa S, and Trek 1.5/Lexa SL. What should I be looking for beside just riding them and deciding? I have a Giant OCR3W and wanted more than an entry bike. I don't really want to spend more than $1300. Thanks for your advice and input.

Given your recent weather, I'm sure you have time to contemplate this purchase. Would you consider a custom frame and swap out your current ride's build?
Lookit, grasshopper....
I'm thinking more of a relaxed/sport geometry - if this is what it would be called.

You might try the Specialized Dolce line or the Trek Lexa as they both are a more relaxed geometry.
I am glad to hear that DH and I are not the only ones who get to thinking about new bikes (more often than not, acting on it) when we are socked in for the winter and can't ride outside. The trainer doesn't cure the new bike wants.
Good luck with your search,

Specialized made the Sectuer as their more relaxed geormetry in an aluminum frame as the Roubauix is their relaxed geometry in the carbon frame. Both are mens. Womens would be the Dolce in Aluminum & Ruby in Carbon.
All are great bikes for long rides. You need to try them to see what feels best to you.

I was just looking at the Specialized Dolce line and like the following bikes - Dolce Elite Compact, Dolce Triple, Dolce Sport Triple and Dolce Sport Compact. I know nothing about components. My riding goals are fitness, weekend rides, maybe a century, but other than that, are components going to be that important?
