I don't think you can really target fat loss to a specific part of your body. That's not to say that you shouldn't work on your core, but don't expect that work to specifically remove belly fat. IMO, a mixture of resistance exercise (to build muscle and speed metabolism) and cardio to burn calories is the best way to go. As for diet, you might start with a food diary to track your eating habits. I like apples and almonds as a snack. I aim for nutrient dense and whole foods. I eat a lot of fruits, veggies, beans, whole grains and lean proteins, with some healthy fat thrown in. But too much of even healthy foods will make you gain weight, so portion control is important.
Live with intention. Walk to the edge. Listen hard. Practice wellness. Play with abandon. Laugh. Choose with no regret. Continue to learn. Appreciate your friends. Do what you love. Live as if this is all there is.
