I just read about this on another forum. This woman is a finalist in Mutual of Omaha's 'A-ha' moment competition. Her idea is to help people see the dangers in distracted driving. Since this is a problem that is near and dear to our hearts, I figured people here would like to know about this.

This is what she posted on the other forum about the specifics:

"Hi-- Wynne here. Thanks for your support!...The piece got edited quite a bit, so it does leave some information out. ... I work for a traffic safety non-profit (www.drivesmartva.org) & do things like speak to high schools, colleges & businesses to educate people about the dangers of distracted driving. In addition, I attend lots of outreach events & safety fairs to distribute literature & educate, as well encourage people to sign our online pledge to not drive distracted. My organization also hold a Distracted Driving Awareness Day and we send out free materials to people & organizations willing to hold awareness events or just help distribute info."

If she wins, she gets a chance to take this to network television.
