"Somebody" up there didn't want me to ride??!

I needed a ride so badly that I hired a babysitter to watch my kids from 7 am to 9:30 am so I could get a ride in. So I leave at 7...and it starts raining about a mile into my ride. I just upgraded components so I figured I'd go home and head out to the gym instead. So I turn around to go home...and the rain stops. So I turn around to go back OUT...and it starts raining again. Heading home (again), the sun comes out. I'm wondering now if God is watching me and laughing. Reminding myself how badly I wanted to ride, I turn around for the 3rd time determined to ride rain or shine. Seven miles out, I flat. And it's raining again. And I have no CO2 cartridge expeller. Fortunately, I DID have my celphone and was able to call the sitter and ask her to come get me. I better have some good cyclokarma coming my way...

Maybe the powers that be were protecting you from something awful happening to you up the road.

if it was meant to happen it would have, obviously you were being kept safe by the spirits. Time to listen. Aren't cell phones handy little things? Good luck on another ride on another day real soon.
