Box mix, yellow cake, calls for 1/3 cup of butter. I was thinking of other things and put in a whole stick of butter (1/2 cup). If I had intended this cake for my household, I wouldn't even ask about this -- we'd try it and see -- but my intention is to give this cake away.
I'm thinking it's probably okay, just richer-tasting? Maybe a little denser?
Am I right about this? I've made plenty of mistakes in the kitchen before, but this is a new one for me; please help! Thank you!!
