    My new name!!!!!!!!!!!

Hey! Look! It's me - Audio-A, only better!!!

First, the history. I'm a recording engineer in a facility that has two audio suites. "Audio A", and "Audio B". When I answer the phone, I say, "Audio A, can I help you?" So, sometimes, family will answer, "Hi Audio A, it's your mom..." So, way back when, it seemed like a clever name, but not really.

So, this weekend, my boyfriend was visiting. We were working on my bike. I was working on one thing, so he said to me, "Where's your pedal wrench, pedal wench?" We both instantly new that should be my new name!

So, now, here and on BikeJournal (sorry CorsairMac, I'm keeping my miles!) I am now, and forever more, Pedal Wench!

Thanks, and sorry for any confusion - all my old posts will be changed to the new name, but any quotes of mine will still say "Audio A".

Pedal Wench (the cyclist formerly known as Audio A)

How'd you change your name? thought we were stuck with it. You and BikeGoddess managed to change yours.

Elsewhere (in the thread "Spazz says hi") we've just come up with the perfect name for either a womens bike shop or new line of WSD bikes: "Menstrual Cycles".

The chief mechanic there would have to be "pedal wench"

Perfect! I'm officially applying for the wrench position. I can see my business card already:

    Menstrual Cycles
    Pedal Wench
    Chief Pedal Wrench

    I like it!

Lol. I was wondering how someone I had never heard of had managed to get up to nearly 300 posts. I figured someone must have changed their name, but I couldn't figure out who. Now I know.

Admin can change your name for you Trek - that's how BG got her name done!

and ROFL about the new name - so can I be the Spoke Wench??
Life should NOT be a journey to the grave with the intention of arriving safely in an attractive and well preserved body, but rather to skid in sideways, champagne in one hand, strawberries in the other, body thoroughly used up, totally worn out and screaming: "Yeah Baby! What a Ride!"

Hey, Spoke Wench is good too!

It took just a minute to change my name over at Bike Journal. Edit profile, search to make sure no one else has your name, and then it automatically sends an email to Slantz, who got back to me within hours approving my new name!

Like I said, it will be a little weird in old threads, because if someone 'quoted' me, it will still say Audio-A, or if they just responded with my name. Well, y'all will understand - thanks for putting up with the confusion!

Great new name, Pedal Wench! It will take a while for all of us to adjust to the change, but we'll get the hang of it. Bike Goddess changed hers when she only had a few dozen posts or so. But you were Audio-A for a long time! Now just be sure you don't answer the phone at work, "Good morning, this is Pedal Wench, can I help you?"
