Whats your favorite color of messenger bag? Do you use your messenger bag as a purse?

Mine is grey with a purple stripe...it's this one. Hubby just brought it home for me as I was complaining about not having a bag I could wear messenger style.

I use it as a purse and on the bike. The one I linked to is small enough to function as a purse but big enough to have some room for extras -- you could carry a book or a small lunch. I usually have a sippy cup for the kiddo and other toddler supplies stashed.

Mine is a screaming yellow waterproof one that was super cheap from that site where the prices go down until the items sell.

I never minded it; I like the statement it makes, but I use panniers now and having my lunch segregated from my clothes is reassuring.

I have a brown and blue purse sized one; I use it in the summer, when I don't need to be "professional" looking. At one point, I tried riding to work with a full sized messenger bag; in fact, I have a video of my attempt. It was just too much weight to make me unbalanced, since my coordination is questionable at best! I ended up using that bag as a gym bag for many years.
The purse sized bag could be used for a trip on my road bike, where I don't have space for any bags. But, it doesn't have the stabilizer strap.

I have a Bailey Works Super Pro in Royal Blue. And I love it. It was a splurge, but it's been my school bag, rain coat, grocery bag, and will be my only travel bag when we go around the world. I've had it about a year now and it shows no wear, even after I wrecked and slid a good six feet down the road on it. The blue is bright but not enough to make your eyes hurt.

ETA: Mine is a medium, which is pretty big. I take it most everywhere because I never know when I'll end up bringing home 25 pounds worth of stuff.

Chrome Citizen in flourescent lime green with a navy blue stripe. It's very easy to become a briefcase/"man purse."

Chrome Metropolis in blaze orange when I need to haul more stuff...

Mine looks like this. Has pins from random stuff and a Planet bike light clipped to it. This one isn't mine but looks exactly like it. I use it as purse, carry-all, med kit, bike kit, etc.

One of my critical mass buddies said I kept everything I "might" need in there when I pulled out a jacket, snack and cargo net one time. *laughs* Good to be prepared.
