LL Bean is selling one in bright yellow this season (they call it alpine gold). It looked like a nice pack and was only $29.

Edit: I remembered it wasn't easy to find so I went back and dug up the link - LL Bean

I ordered one from LL Bean, $19.50, it is smaller and lighter than the one you gave me, hopefully it will work, it also folds up into its own pouch! it is a gold/yellow color with a black strip down the middle, I will sew on a piece of reflective tape, that should help! Thanks again Queen

Too funny! I just ordered the same pack in brambleberry (??), it looks like a great choice for a daypack...I was looking at the Jansport ones and they weighed in at 4lbs (while empty! ).

    and it comes in pink!

currently when commuting I carry a fanny pack which is festooned with all my blinky things. It has just enough room for the change of shirt, cell, wallet, keys....

    LL Bean pack, too

I ordered the $19.50 LL Bean backpack in Brambleberry too!
I got it last week. It is a pretty thin nylon, but appears durable. It was the perfect size for running shoes and gym clothes and it fits snug to my back. The waist straps are very long, though and when I wasn't using them I had to sinch them up in the exterior straps. So far I'm happy with it, though.

Trek, I like pink too but I AM thinking about safety I carry lunch, change of clothes sometimes, and purse items, if I have a smaller one I won't be able to carry as much!!!
