A cashmere sweater pretty much guarantees I'll have a Tucker Cat in my lap. How does he know what I'm wearing?

    It calls his name?

I have a mohair shawl that my kitties love. When I was making it, one of them squished Himself on top of the shawl in the work basket to snuggle in. It was a guarantee that he'd be on my lap while I was working on it - which upset the pecking order in the house. I still think of him when I wear it. The shawl may be teal blue, but it'll always be "Butter's Shawl" (ginger tom-cat). For some reason, know only to them, my other cats like to groom the shawl. So there are some felted spots in it...

and if I'm wearing a lot of white, my black cat wants to cuddle. If I'm wearing mostly black, its the mostly white cat that won't leave me alone....

I've given a beautiful wool sweater to my dog - he loved it so much there was no point in not handing it over. He's had it for years.

Our cat likes wool. Our dogs like polar fleece.

I guess cats have more refined tastes?

Our rooster hates bare legs. Don't ever wear shorts around our rooster unless you want to be attacked. Stupid rooster.

It's the same way they know not to scratch the post you bought for them, but everything you don't want them to.
