Just got word from Steven, Green at Brooks England. Dark Brown is likely to be re-introduced in many models late 2010!!! Sales of brown saddles during the 90's dropped off so it was discontinued, but due to renewed interest it is most likely being picked up for late 10' production for 2011.
Depending on how you feel about Brooks and leather saddles in general, you may yawn, giggle, clap, squeal, or delicately sip your coffee or tea *sighing to yourself*. I assume this is not set in stone, so e-mail Brooks to generate more interest for the dark brown color (currently only available on the uber-expensive titanium edition b-17 and others.)

I have my perfect fitting Brooks on both of my bikes. I expect them both to last about 30 years, and i'm 55. So, I got an extra one last year... just in case.
