    Here's a link with the saddles. http://www.competitivecyclist.com/ro...es/demo-saddle

We've both gotten a little tired of our Brooks and want something different. I'd like to get my bike a little lighter for the very hilly tri I'm doing in May - 6,000 feet of climbing in 56 miles.

I am very interested in hearing your thoughts on the Selle Italia Prolink Light Gel Flow...which I'm pretty sure is part of that kit. Please let me know what you think of it, when you get a chance to try it out. Thanks!

It's made the initial cut for both of us.

I rode it for thirty minutes in the trainer today. I don't love it. I wanted to start wiggling around at the 30 minute mark. I'm use to a rather slippery saddle so when I tried to move, I didn't.

It's got a much longer nose than my current saddle which kind of bugged me too.

Hmmm, interesting....thanks for the feedback. I'm still sitting on the fence about ordering it. Nashbar has it for $119.99 plus an additional 20% off thru tomorrow...that brings the price down to $95...which is almost too good to pass up. I suppose if it didn't work out for me, I could always post it in the classifieds on TE or other cycling sites...I'm sure somebody out there would snap it up. The two things you mentioned - the longer nose and non-slip saddle surface are actually things that I'm looking for, so maybe this saddle will be "the one" for me. My current saddle has a fairly long nose, so I don't think that will be an issue for me. And I like the feeling of being secure on the saddle...sliding around is something that I don't like - infact, I returned a pair of Pearl Izumi Amfib tights, because the material on the backside was so slippery on my saddle...I just couldn't stand it.

Thanks again for the feedback, and I hope you find a saddle in that demo kit that works for you!

I'm actually thinking I may just stick with my Brooks. For some reason I'd been thinking it weighed 550 grams, but it's only 350. That's only 100 grams heavier than most of the saddles that I've been trying. That's only 3.5 ounces - not a huge amount of weight in my mind. And I don't notice my saddle when I'm racing.

My husband on the other hand has the heavier Brooks with steel rails - mine are Ti. He wants something lighter.

Competitive Cyclist is more expensive but they do have an unconditional 60 day return policy.

I ended up not liking any of the saddles in the demo. But Thom ordered me a Selle Italia SLK Lady Gel Flow Saddle that I just rode for a 45 minute DVD. I like it. It's a tad shorter than the saddles in the kit and just a smidge wider at 145 mm x 265mm. The padding is not very thick or squishy. I'll take it out on the road tomorrow.

I just checked out that SI SLK Lady Gel Flow...and it has my interest. I'm looking forward to hearing your report on the on-road test ride. Thanks!
