    Hello!

    To disable ads, please log-in.

Hi all! I have been reading this forum for a few weeks now and you all seem like the friendliest bunch of ladies.

I have been mountain biking for a few years, and pulling my kids in the bike trailer every morning (except in winter) since they were old enough to handle it. I have always loved the feel of being on a bike, and 3 weeks ago took the plunge and bought my first road bike.

I have been doing short morning rides and longer rides on the weekends. Today, I finished 42 miles along the Wasatch front, which is pretty hilly. I am ecstatic. Ever since buying my new bike, I am obsessed. It is ALL I can think about!

Anyway, just wanted to say hello, and I look forward to chatting with you all.

BTW, I read the "falling in clipless" thread and you guys had me rolling. I have done this too many times to mention!

I haven't taken a picture yet, but it is the Trek 1.2 WSD. Nothing too fancy, but I love it!

*Edited* Sorry that picture was HUGE!

    Thanks for the welcome!

    that is awesome!

Hey greenbean! (Speaking of green beans, I've had the worst crop of it this year in my garden!)
I know exactly how you feel! Got on a bike and never looked back! that is quite a ride, 42 miles, you should be very proud of yourself. Let us know when you do your first century! I'm still working on hitting the 50. Btw, great bike! It doesn't have to be fancy, just as long as it fits your needs. Personally I've got way too many financial obligations to be able to drop 2 grand on a bike (although I would love to.) Anyway I will look for more of your "milestone" postings!

Welcome greenbean! Glad that you started posting and have joined us here. Be warned, tho. We are bike enablers. One just isn't enough. Stick around long enough and you'll start feeling the need for 2,3, or more bikes.
Congrats on your longest ride on a very hilly course! Way to go!

    BTW: beautiful bike!!!!
