    Bonus Time

TWO days! I get my bonus and a 'small' chunk is set aside for bike stuff!!

The problem is narrowing down the list. So far, I've ordered a stem and a seatpost. I also want a Timbuk2 messenger bag. I need new gloves.

But I can spend some more...I just don't know what to get. A jacket for the fall, a new jersey - since I only have one, new socks - just cause I like them, cold weather gear, a second messenger bag - I may need two different sizes...and I'm open for suggestions!

One year from now, what will bring most joy? Or... preserve your hide?

What will let you ride when you want to but wouldn't because of...

I vote for a fall jacket or knickers, especially if you don't already have them. Your riding season will dramatically increase (maybe to year round).

I'd look for some good summer stuff on clearance now...it's about that time...and think about building up the fall/winter riding attire and gear. My favorite fall/winter cycling things are knickers, a good wind-blocking vest, arm warmers, and an assortment of long-fingered insulated and non-insulated gloves to keep my cold hands warm.

I have virtually no gear at all. I have one short sleeve jersey and one long sleeve. I have one pair of long-fingered gloves - non-insulated. I have zero knickers or warmers of any sort. I have no wind blocking anything. I have no rain gear.

Basically, I have the two jerseys, 1 1/2 pair of gloves, and 3 pair of shorts.

    Um, yeah...

Just remember you can put pants over the shorts so I would go with a jacket first. This will be my first winter riding as I used it more as cross training when I was running and can't run anymore. Running is much easier in the winter. I think a good pair of gloves would be essential also and booties and something for your ears.
