    Two Tri Dreams

    To disable ads, please log-in.

I've had two tri related dreams the past two nights. I definitely have triathlon on the brain and I haven't even done one yet. I'm 100% determined to do a sprint next year.

I thought I'd share them because they were funny.

On Tuesday night I dreamt that I did my first tri and it was incredible. I felt great the whole way and all the things that seem scary to me were fine. The swim and the run were especially awesome. Then at the end I decided I wanted to start a tri team. I guess I've had Lance on the brain after watching the TdF because I thought it would be great if I named my team "Radio Snack" in honor of Lance inspiring me and my love of food.

Then, last night I dreamt I did another tri and wore a running skirt. (I love them by the way, they've honestly changed the way I work out.) At the end I guess I decided I was going to become a professional triathlete and start my own tri/athletic clothing line (apparently I want to be like Nicole DeBoom when I grow up, too). My great idea was that I should make a tri halter dress. It would be a halter style tri swimsuit with a skirt you attach later.

When I woke up I laughed at the idea of wearing a halter dress during a triathlon.

What about you? Have you had any wacky tri dreams?

Your dreams are awesome. I want to trade.

I have probably had multiple tri related dreams, but the most memorable is the one I had about doing an Ironman. I don't think I had even signed up for Ironman by this point, but my brain must have been processing it, because I had the most awesome dream that I had fun, finished in like 12-13 hours, and totally visualized myself crossing the finish line strong. It was great. I did not go on to start my own clothing line, though.

I have had dreams about not having my bike, or sending my husband back for something, usually a couple of days before a race, rarely the night before. I don't remember any other tri dreams. I should fix this.

PS: I related your story and got another vote for the halter tri dress being cool!

Hmm, now you've got me thinking maybe a tri halter dress isn't such a bad idea. And I saw Gnat's awesome bike dress on the shorts thread, so why not a tri dress? And they're making cycling halter tops now. I wonder if it might feel more free not to have racer-back straps.

The skirt part could have a race belt part, like the SkirtSports race belt skirts I've seen on their site.

Colby, your Ironman dream sounds great!! Usually I have anxiety dreams about stuff like that so I think these two were my mind's way of saying "go for it!" It kinda sounds like your mind was telling you to go for it, too. Love that.

This is so funny, because I just had a dream about doing an Ironman last night. It was funny because I completed it in about 6 hours (HAHA), but I stopped periodically to have a coffee, eat lunch, chat with friends.. then just pick up where I left off.

However, nobody would ever want me to design clothing.
