    Best Lip Protection?

    To disable ads, please log-in.

I've been to the Caribbean many times, and unfortunately burnt my lips badly on one occassion. I use the thick zinc in a toothpaste tube, but it is difficult to carry around.

I would love to find something to be able to wear around my neck and have access to so I can apply frequently.

Any suggestions? I mean Hawaiin tropics makes a 45 that works great but I need a zinc product.

you know those plastic containers you put your keys or some change in when you go to the pool/beach and has a string around it so you can wear it around your neck? why not just put that zinc paste in it?

One thing about lips is that you lick off the protection.

Some products are liposomal, enter into the skin and therefore last longer. I used to have one for the whole body that you were instructed to apply 3/4 of an hour before going into the sun. It was called daylong and was like an alcoholic solution. I don't think it exists anymore.

This product might help, the body version is very good

The Anthelios product sounds great, but holy smokes, $22 for lip protection. I like the string idea, I'll have to hunt around Walmart for a small jar to put the zinc in. It seems there are really no pure zinc stick products which is a shame.

Thanks for the help, oh and the humor, Zen!
