    July 10th rides

    This is just my commute...
for your amusement someone asked what our rides LOOKED LIKE.
The first is Interstate 5 below me as I cross a small bridge. No that is NOT my bike's reflection. However, up on the far left is where I am heading.

The second photo is what the road looks like. The cars have just about finished grinding up the glass here.

and finally, the great view from Swift; as I go up the hill. Unfortunately, I'm usually looking at the cars, not the mountain.

    Cool photos! Thanks for sharing!!

Still no riding for me since my crash Tuesday. The doc did say I can start slowly, so long as it doesn't hurt

Geez. I almost feel kind of guilty. I have been on vacation ("staycation") all week, and have spent the week playing.
Today, DH and I went to Rosaryville State Park to finally use the mountainbikes. The trails had finally dried out enough to ride after a hugely wet spring.
Fortunately, it was all good, and no growling or snapping at DH on my part!

A beautiful dry sunny day here in MA. I decided to head east so I could do a flat ride. Actually, I combined it with a visit to a fabric shop I've been wanting to go to. I am in the midst of deciding on a fabric for living room drapes I am going to sew. So the bike ride was a wonderful 50 miles and I went to the ocean and also ate one of the better lobster rolls I've had in a while.

I was trying to make my commute extra long, 40 miles instead of 36, but on the last few miles, I flatted. A cyclist stopped, but I had it under control, and he went on his way. Of course, as soon as he left, I used up my 2 CO2s, and had to start walking. Within a few minutes, a nice man with 2 little boys stopped and offered me a ride to my car. I swore to never take another ride from a stranger after the last guy was creepy, but I'm glad I took this one. I'm sure the boys were proud of their father for helping a total stranger.

    Rethinking the pump issue.

I ran some errands on my bike, totaling 20 miles. I stopped for supper on the way home. It was fun.
