My son would get white spots on his tongue periodically when he was younger (he is 12 now), but they would always go away. He hasn't had one for a long time now. Probably a good idea for you to get it checked out though.

I went to the dentist today for my regular six month check up. Much to my surprise, he noticed a white bump on the underside of my tongue that he is concerned about and referred me to an oral surgeon for a consultation. I immediately called for an appointment and now have to wait about a week and a half to get in.
He told me the oral surgeon might say to watch and wait a couple of months, but I am thinking I want a biopsy now!
I never, never, never would have found this on my own. Even now I am not completely sure I am looking at the right place. Thank goodness for regular dental exams and a conscientious dentist.
Anybody have anything like this?

Definitely have it checked - but I wouldn't stress too much yet. I've had little "pimples" appear and then go away. They never turned out to be anything - more likely than not, it's nothing to worry about. So, don't worry and verify that you're correct not to
