    Voler Shorts and bibs!!

    To disable ads, please log-in.

I was wondering if anyone has any experience with Voler brand shorts or bibs? I saw some on their website that I like and have seen some good reviews for them, but I was wanting to here some input from you all. Right now, I'm using some shorts from my local bike shop made by champ-sys and I love them. On velowear.com, I'm looking at a pair of womens shorts and a pair of men's shorts or bibs. Thanks for any future advice!!! By the way here are some pictures of the shorts and bibs I'm looking at!!!

I got a pair of Voler bib shorts.
    I like the chamois.
I found the sizing to be a bit on the small size (maybe it's just my hips!).
I found out the GREY is not a good color for shorts.....it's see-thru!
Overall...decent shorts for the money. I'd go up one size.....

I find them to run a bit large, compared to the size chart. I agree about the sheer quality of a lot of the spandex they use, at least on the standard ones. I don't know about some of the fancier versions. The chamois options used to suck, but they have improved a lot there recently.

I just got a pair Voler shorts and wore them yesterday for the first time. http://www.velowear.com/products/1120187BLKXSM.aspx
I agree they definitely run large. I thought the Proforma fabric (black) was not sheer. The fabric doesn't have a lot of compression. Very comfortable, though. The Diamonte chamois is okay. Sort of like the Shebeest Shelastic chamois, only not quite as comfy IMHO. The leg elastic did not produce the dreaded sausage effect. They look good on... your basic black, not overly engineered shorts.

I was hoping to love them, but so far I only sort of like them. My plan was to get a second pair but I decided not to after I actually wore them.

Well, I did it! I went ahead and ordered a pair of women's shorts and a pair of men's bib shorts. I figured, that for the prices and that fact there is return shipping, I didn't have anything to lose!!! Thank's for all your advice, I will make sure and follow up this post with a review, when I get the shorts and get to use them!!!

    Voler shorts

I have two pairs of the Voler shorts - standard black club shorts - and just love them.

I sought this company out, because I am a fan of thin chamois and can not abide by the diaper feeling of most shorts out there today.

So, if you are looking for a pair of good quality basic shorts for reasonable money give this company a try.

I wore my Volers to work this morning. They're Avanti Pros from about 2 years ago. The fabric is surprisingly supportive for the price, and the Azzura chamois is nice and thin. I have no idea what the Diamante (in this year's version) is like. Looks awfully "sculpted" for my tastes, but YMMV.

My biggest complaint about them is that they're rather high cut in the waist. I prefer something a little lower so that the waistband doesn't hit my ribs, since I have no torso length to speak of

    Love the bibs

I have 4 pair of the bibs from voler, including the see-through grey. They are mostly for the trainer. I absolutely love them. The chamois is just right.
