Geography lesson for the Weather Channel

Have any of you been watching the Weather Channel on the North Dakota Flooding? We have been keeping it on all day here at school so we can monitor what is happening. Anyway last night they titled the report as coming from Fargo, Minnesota and Bismarck, Minnesota. Today they had Fargo and Bismarck back in North Dakota, but then had Moorehead in North Dakota.

So to the Weather Channel people:

Bismarck is the state capital of North Dakota and is in the south central part of the state of North Dakota (that is why it can be the capital)

Fargo is in North Dakota also and is the largest city in North Dakota

    Moorehead
on the other hand, is across the Red River of the North, which is the dividing line between North Dakota and Minnesota. Therefore it is part of Minnesota and pays state taxes to the state of Minnesota.

BTW just as a future point of reference - Mount Rushmore is in South Dakota
North Dakota has the Peace Gardens

All kidding aside please keep the cities in your thoughts and prayers as this is looking to be very bad and TE's own Urlea is in the thick of it.

AND if you want to see some footage of them blasting the ice on the Missouri river south of Bismarck . . .

One commentator said "it was like giving the Missouri a giant enema"

Scuba divers from Dakota Divers went under the ice and set the explosives - not my idea of a good time.

It's about the journey and being in the moment, not about the destination

Yeah, no kidding. I thought I was watching the Discovery Channel about Alaska.

This weather is WACKY!! Texas Panhandle is closed to a blizzard! Our region is slated for snow showers/tornados/wind.
