Illegal? Will there now be 'backroom' waxing? Like speakeasies for for the well groomed?

Be yourself, to the extreme!
Self-service gas is illegal in NJ, too.

I'm envisioning waxing salons surrounding the borders of New Jersey... and illicit back room brazillion wax parlors where you have to know the secret password to get in, guarded by big brutish bouncers.

I can "get" the "edges of a swim suit area", but not the landing strip or the clear-cut brazilian - save the rainforest!! (the heart shape may be cute).I can't get my mind around the concept of shaving hair off the body either.Originally Posted by BleeckerSt_Girl

I used to detest shaving b/c of the stubble, I then waxed a couple times (take a deep breath!!!), but I left plenty of rainforest, and now I use an epilator. Sometimes still wax for an occastional logging campaign.
It's a little secret you didn't know about us women. We're all closet Visigoths.

I don't think cosmetologists in California are licensed to do Brazilian waxing either - and they don't teach it in the cosmetology programs. But it's openly advertised. tokie
Alpine, you're a hoot.
I recently tried laser hair removal. It wasn't bad but boy was it expensive.

This made me laugh. I have a good friend from NJ who told me that the reason there is no self service gas is that it is controlled by the Mafia...
Lisa, waxing hurts for a nanosecond if you go to a good cosmetologist, and the more you have it done, the less it hurts.
I subscribe to the Alpine Rabbit theory of waxing, though and I never have had a "Brazilian."
This is one of the most hilarious threads ever.![]()
