Hiya... for those who remember the pics I posted of my brother I thought I'd give you a follow up...

He achieved his personal goal he's calling his "double-double" on June 18th!

Double- officially has lost 200lbs thru eating better and cycling
Double- completed the Grand Tour DOUBLE century in 11 hours 59 minutes!!!

I know a couple people asked for follow up info and thought you'd appreciate those amazing, inspiring stats... the guy has become a cycling MACHINE! My only hope for keeping up anymore is drafting!

Life should NOT be a journey to the grave with the intention of arriving safely in an attractive and well preserved body, but rather to skid in sideways, champagne in one hand, strawberries in the other, body thoroughly used up, totally worn out and screaming: "Yeah Baby! What a Ride!"

Bike Goddess... here's a link to SOME of his pics... at his heaviest (458 lbs) then at 380 and then at 270 I think... he's under 258 already... rides every day except Sunday which is his family/church day... I need to get some current pics of him... I'm so happy 'cause I know it means he's gonna be around a lot longer... and we've always been close... even more so now that we have cycling in common... we do a lot of event rides together... he WANTED me to do the double with him... HAHAHAHHAHA! 100 mile is plenty for me thank you! Anyway, when you click on this he is "BigKahunaDad"

I forgot to say... to help celebrate I contacted everyone I know and asked them to send congrats cards... he said he was getting cards from women all over the country! LOL...

WOW! In the last picture... his face REALLY SHOWS the work he has done. Losing all that weight really dropped some *years* off him as well!

He looks great! Tell him congrats!

I told my hubby about your brother last night. I carefully saved the 200 lb part for the last bit. You should have seen his face! He was clearly not expecting that as part of the goal. Maybe you need to invest in a tandem so you can keep up with him now. I love the cards coming in from all over the place. Very cool.
